Xavier Monnot
- The Monnot family dates back to 1723 in the Burgundy region. They have been tending vines for six generations, but it wasn’t until 2005 that Xavier began to bottle wines under his own named Domaine. Xavier took over control o the estate in 1994 and began a massive process of revitalisation and modernisation. Today the Monnot name covers plots in Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puigny-Montrachet, Volney and Pommard. For years now wine experts have been saying that Xavier Monnot is an overlooked gem in Burgundy, but some of his most recent vintages have caught the attention of an international audience.
