Vina Almirante – Pionero Albariño

Appearance

• Golden yellow with some light green highlights, A very subtle hint of fizz can also be seen after first opening.

Nose

• The aroma is fresh and varied with notes of green and yellow apple, fresh hay, pineapple, vanilla bean and a touch of whet stone.

Taste

• On the palate we find lemon and lime citrus, green apple and pear and a touch of flinty minerality.

An award winning Albariño that is hand harvested, fermented in a cool temperature controlled environment then set to age on leas in stainless steel for a few weeks to build complexity.

Vina Almirante

• Founded at the turn of the millennium by a cooperative of 80 wine growers in the Rias Baixas region. The collective wanted to highlight the regions unique terroir for making the best Spanish Albariño.
