Appearance

  • Pale golden like harvest time wheat

Nose

  • The Aroma begins with juicy yellow citrus and stone fruits before bringing notes of honey, basil and fresh herbs.

Taste

  • The palate mirrors those fruity and herbaceous notes found in the aroma with a string acidic backbone with some extra candied lemon peel and quince on the finish.

This wine undergoes cold maceration on the skins for 10 hours before fermentation in stainless steel to maintain the fresh and delicate herbal aromas.

Villa Medoro

  • Founded in 1966 by Luigi Della Loggia in Medoro, a small village on the outskirts of Atri in the Abruzzo wine region. The now 250 hectares estate is still owned by the Della Loggia-Morricone family. For the first few decades the family made a small amount of wine for locals, but in 1996 Federica Morricone took over the estate at 22, she re-focused the winery into making high-quality wines. Federica says “Villamedoro l’anima del Vino” which translates to “Villa Medoro is the soul of wine”.
