Appearance

  • A beautiful pale pink with subtle hints of peach in the glass.

Nose

  • Romas of white rose, watermelon, pink grapefruit and sea salt fill the nose.

Taste

  • On the palate we fine a beautiful example of dry rosé wine. Crushed raspberries, strawberries, red currants over a bed of lemon sherbet and Pink Himalayan Salt.

Minimal skin contact before fermentation ensured an elegant rosé. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at cold temperatures to maintain delicate flavours. The wine is then aged on a touch of lees for 2 months to gain complexity and increase mouthfeel.

Two River

  • Founded by David Clouston who grew up in the area between the Awatere and Wairau rivers. David spent 25 years travelling the world, learning winemaking and taking part in vintages in the USA, Chile, Spain, France and Corsica. He used this experience to inspire his own wines that take the best of the old and new world. Marlborough is famous for producing intense flavours from their grapes. Two rivers attempt to take those flavours and make them more refined. Each wine is made organically with no synthetic chemical fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides. Winemaking includes natural fermentation, concrete egg tanks, large oak barrels and clay amphoras.
