Picpoul de Pinet Florensac 2021
Caves de Florensac is a renowned winery nestled in the picturesque Languedoc region of southern France. With a rich history dating back centuries, this winery has become a symbol of exceptional winemaking craftsmanship and the embodiment of the region’s winemaking heritage.
The caves, or cellars, are an integral part of the winery’s charm, carved deep into the limestone hillsides, providing the ideal environment for aging and storing their exquisite wines. Here, traditional winemaking techniques harmonize with modern innovations to produce a diverse range of wines, from crisp and refreshing whites to bold and robust reds.
Fun, crisp, bright and easy. All words to describe a summer’s day and also this fantastic wine from Southeast France. Lemon citrus, grapefruit, honeysuckle and wet stone minerality all make for a refreshing and lip-tingling tipple… (Picpoul translates as ‘stings the lip’)
An excellent and affordable alternative to Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio.

Extremely underrated white wine for an excellent price
This Picpoul offers a bouquet of green apples, citrus zest, and a subtle note of white flowers. Fresh and clean and really gets your tastebuds tingling in anticipation
On the palate, the Florensac Picpoul de Pinet 2021 truly shines. It’s a dry wine with a lively acidity that awakens the taste buds. The dominant flavours include crisp green apples, zesty lemon, and a touch of grapefruit. There’s a wonderful limestone minerality that runs through it, providing a clean and slightly saline finish that lingers on the palate. This wine is exceptionally well-balanced, making it incredibly easy to enjoy on its own or as a versatile food companion. Its bright acidity and mineral notes complement the brininess of shellfish wonderfully. It also pairs excellently with light salads, goat cheese, and a variety of Mediterranean dishes.
