Palacio del Camino Real – Rioja Crianza

Appearance

• Bright ruby red in the glass.

Nose

• On the nose we find aromas of red and dark fruits, vanilla, toasted oak and subtle touch of peppery spice.

Taste

• The palate is classically smooth with well-structured tannins and a long, refined finish. Notes of red and black berries and a touch of vanilla run throughout

Once pressed the juice is fermented then aged in a mix of Frech and American oak barrels for 12 months.

Palacio del Camino Real

• The Camino Real is a connection route between the ancient court of Nájera and the monasteries of San Millán de la Cogolla. Between the 9th and 11th century, everyone from peasants to kings travelled this road to the Suso and Yuso Monasteries in pilgrimage. This winery is one of many smaller producers in the Najerilla Valley, a place untouched by larger companies and almost unheard of despite its location in the heart of Rioja.
