Migration – Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2020

Appearance

• A lighter straw colour in the glass.

Nose

• The nose is highly aromatic with notes of honeysuckle, citrus blossom, lemon zest and crème brûlée.

Taste

• The palate is balanced and full, notes of lemon and citrus blossom, toasted oak vanilla and honey. This is a gorgeous tasting Chardonnay.

The 2020 growing season was a complex one, a mix of extreme weather and wildfires made harvesting difficult. After harvest the grapes were fermented for 24 days. The wine was then aged for 10 months in French Oak.

Migration

• Migration is part of the famous Duckhorn portfolio from California. Their first vintage was in 2001 and the winery immediately gained a name for producing premium cool climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay inspired by the fine wines of Burgundy but with a distinctly American edge.
