Logodaj Winery – Melnik 55

Appearance

• Intensely deep violet purple in the glass.

Nose

• Bright fresh fruit like cherry, strawberry and blackcurrant mix with a touch of peppery spice.

Taste

• The palate is gloriously smooth with cherry, blackberry, plum, sweet vanilla and a touch of smoke.

After harvest the grapes are cold macerated for 5 days. A classic fermentation in vats is then followed by barrel aging for 12 months wherein malolactic fermentation takes place.

Logodaj Winery

• Founded in 1994 in the heart of the Struma river Valley, their vineyards cover over 700 acres. Modern Italian equipment was bought in the 2000’s to increase production capacity. The winemaker at Logodaj says, “My belief is that wine is not created but transformed. this is where my goal comes from, we humbly transform what nature produces into an excellent result.”
