Joel Gott – Chardonnay

Appearance

• Bright straw yellow in the glass.

Nose

• The nose is fruity and tart with aromas of pear, apple tart, mango, citrus and honeysuckle.

Taste

• The palate opens with bright citrus and orchard fruits before leaving a long lasting, clean finish of flinty minerality.

After harvest, the grapes are whole cluster pressed in order to retain the delicate fruit flavours. The juice is then fermented and aged in stainless steel with no oak contact to preserve the bright acidity.

Joel Gott

• Joel is a fourth-generation winemaker from the Nappa Valley in California. In 1996 Joel bought several tons of Amador County Zinfandel and made a wine with his then-girlfriend and winemaker Sarah. The first wine from the couple was lauded by the Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate and the New York Times. Further to his wine making venture, Joel now runs a gourmet burger and milkshake diner named Gott’s Roadside.
