Hundred Hills – Signature Rosé

Appearance

• Peachy pink in colour with an elegant mousse.

Nose

• The aroma is deep and fruity with notes of red apple skin, cranberry, peach and a berry tart.

Taste

• The palate is generous in texture with vibrant citrus acidity balancing the red and stone fruit flavours.

Late harvested Pinot Noir and Chardonnay were harvested in late October. The base wine was created with malolactic fermentation and aged in a mix of traditional oak casks for the Chardonnay and stainless steel for the Pinot Noir. The base wine then spent 24 months aging on lees before disgorgement.

Hundred Hills

• Founded in 2009 by Stephen and Fiona Duckett. The name stems from the Purton Hundred, a land division set out following the Norman conquest and mentioned the Doomsday Book. Hundred Hill’s philosophy is taken from the Burgundian belief that ‘Great wines are made in vineyards, not wineries.’ This means that they use a minimalist style of winemaking to ensure that each vintage is a pure expression of the vineyard.
