Appearance
- Golden straw coloured with a fine mousse.
Nose
- The nose is fresh and pure with notes of golden apple, fresh pear and lemon zest.
Taste
- The palate is crisp with finesse, flavours of golden delicious, green pear, lemon citrus and brioche.
Hand sorted Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are chosen for their generous fruit profile. The grapes are fermented with full malolactic treatment. The fermentation takes place in a combination of stainless steel and oak barrels. Once the base wine is finished it goes through 36 months of aging on lees before being disgorged.
Hundred Hills
- Founded in 2009 by Stephen and Fiona Duckett. The name stems from the Purton Hundred, a land division set out following the Norman conquest and mentioned the Doomsday Book. Hundred Hill’s philosophy is taken from the Burgundian belief that ‘Great wines are made in vineyards, not wineries.’ This means that they use a minimalist style of winemaking to ensure that each vintage is a pure expression of the vineyard.
ABV: 12%
