Growers Touch – Botrytis Semillon

Appearance

• A rich gold with a syrupy texture that sticks to the side of the glass.

Nose

• The nose tells of this wine’s sweetness with aromas of fresh apricot, dried stone fruit, lemon curd and vanilla.

Taste

• The palate is super rich with layers of apricot, peach, toffee, caramel, vanilla and a touch of candied orange peel.

This is a late harvest crop of Semillon, harvesting this late encourages so called ‘noble rot’ a special form of fungus that absorbs water from the grapes and helps in the creation of incredible, sweet dessert wines. The vines themselves are over 60 years old and all the grapes are hand harvested.
