Francesc Ricart cavas are produced by the traditional method in the most representative area of the D.O. Cava: Penedés, Alt Penedés and Sant Sadurní d’Anoia. The collection reflects outstanding grapes, the art of blending, patience to allow the wine to mature at its own pace and the experience to know when it’s at its best.
Energetic, small and subtle bubbles. Yellow-green colour with gold edges.
Nose: Mature and complex style of sparkling wine. Expressing aromas of toast, honeycomb, sourdough and nougat. Palate: Elegant sparkling wine with an intense flavour of the local varieties and fine texture. Citrus peel and hint of forest floor flavours are supported by the toasted bread. Rich ending and long aftertaste.
Alcohol – 11.5% ABV

I love Cava. Softer in acidity than other Champagne method wines, with slightly less complexity (except from in aged wines) but beautiful freshness mixed in with round biscuity deliciousness. Plus the price tag doesn’t hurt in tough times but you can still celebrate like an absolute champion.
Francesc Ricart Cava NV is a little diamond in the rough.Energetic, small and creamy bubbles. Beautiful aromas of toast, honeycomb, sourdough and nougat, with a spritz of citrus. Citrus peel and hint of white peach are supported by toasted bread and brioche. A perfect balance of sugar, acidity and texture. Somehow fresh and creamy at the same time. Aged in bottle for 24 months to ensure fabulous autolytic flavours and aromas.
Quite simply great value for money. Buck the system, drink Champagne method wine on the constant and enjoy. Pair with tapas, nuts, cheese and olives and drink at any time during a meal.
