Appearance

  • A rich lemon gold in the glass with highlights of green and a syrupy texture.

Nose

  • Aromas of green grapes, honeycomb, white flowers, citrus pleas and sweet spices.

Taste

  • On the palate this is a silky wine with a syrupy mouthfeel. Flavours of canided lemon and orange peel, sweet, toasted spices, green grapes and a lifted florality.

This dessert wine is made by drying the grapes our in the hot Spanish sun untill they raisin. When pressed only the concentrated sugar syrup comes out and this is fermented to create a gloriously sweet yet balanced wine.

Finca Antigua

  • Finca Antiguas name refers to the numerous old vines that exist on the 1,000 hectares of land. The vineyard occupies 421 of these hectares, the rest is scrubland with holm oaks and kermes oaks. Finca Antigua was love at first sight for Familia Martínez Bujanda. The family were looking to expand their wine experience from their homeland of Rioja. Familia Martínez-Bujanda acquired Finca Antigua in 1999 and built a new winery in 2003.
