Domaine de Beaurenard – Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Appearance

• Deep ruby red in the glass

Nose

• Aromas of blackberry, raspberry, black olive and heather

Taste

• The palate is super intense and complex with a deep mouthfeel and notes of Bramble berries, cassis, heather, herbs, olives and truffle.

The vines are grown in the classical large stones that make the terroir of Châteauneuf-du-Pape so famous. The grapes are handpicked and gently crushed before fermentation in stainless steel. The fermentation is 31 days long to extract the maximum amount of structure and colour. Aging takes place in French oak for 15 months.

• A family run winery that goes back 7 generations. Currently Beaurenard is run by brothers Frédéric and Daniel Coulon. Every wine from the Domaine is produced organically and registered as biodynamic. Instead of chemical pesticides, the Domaine uses a plant tea spray made of nettle, horsetail and camomile.
