Appearance
- A deep cherry red with some ruby highlights.
Nose
- On the nose we get juicy aromas of cherry, blackberry, leafy herbs, damp soil and graphite.
Taste
- The palate is medium to full-bodied with stewed raspberries and blackberries, black pepper, earthy truffle and dried herbs.
The 30-year-old vines for this wine are planted on find gravel and sand in some of the most prestigious soils within Pomerol. The grapes are hand harvested and fermented in concrete tanks. Aging takes place in a mix of stainless steel and oak casks for 18 months.
Château Chantalouette
- This is the second wine from the famous Château de Sales, the largest estate in the Pomerol. Five generation of family ownership has built unique experience on these soils. The current winemaker, Christian Moueix was behind the world-famous Château Pétrus. This estate has been certified of ‘High Environmental Value’ since 202 with organic and eco-friendly practices helping to build a harmony between the wine industry and wine agriculture.
