Brothers at War – The Grape Grower Riesling

Appearance

• A pale yellow in the glass with hints of green.

Nose

• On the nose this Riesling features the classic mic of lifted florals, lemon and lime citrus, and adds in a light flinty minerality.

Taste

• On the palate this wine is well balance and crisp with high natural acidity. Flavours of green apple, pear, white flowers and a strong mineral backbone in the form of whet stone and flint.

The grapes for this wine are destemmed and crushed before resting at cool temperatures for 4 days to soak. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 15 days. The wine is then moved into French Oak casks for over a year of maturation before bottling without fining or filtration.

Brothers at War

• B.A.T was founded by the Wardlaw brothers Angus and Sam who were the sons of a prominent Australian winemaker. The name comes from the fact that as bothers they have constantly been at odds, despite that they still love each other and work together well when making wine. Many of The Brothers wines have been winning awards around the world. Some are dedicated to the rest of their family like Our Mums love and the Old Man.
