Description
Appearance
- A deep golden brown in colour with a syrupy body.
Nose
- On the nose we find aromas of dried figs, raisin, honey and almond.
Taste
- The palate is smooth and decedent with raisins, dried apricot and roasted almonds.
This sherry is a blend of mature Oloroso with the sweeter Pedro Ximénez style sherry. The wines are blended and aged in American oak.
Bodegas Hidalgo
- Founded in Sanlúcar de Barrameda in 1792 by the Hidalgo family, the eighth generation now run the winery. To this day they only use grapes grown in their own vineyards.
