Appearance

• A brighter red than its reserve counterpart.

Nose

• Intensely aromatic with a mix of red and black berries, cassis, violet and lilac.

Taste

• The palate is typical for a younger Rioja with fresh fruit flavours, red berries, cranberry, balancing acidity and a touch florality.

All the Tempranillo grapes come from Conde Valdemar’s own estate, giving them great control over the wine quality. This Joven style Rioja is young thus comes with a vibrant palate.

Conde Valdemar

• Founded in 1889 in the Rioja township of Oyon. The Valdemar family have run this winery for over 130 years; throughout this time, they have been seen as ground breakers. One of their proudest endeavours is in the protection and revival of endangered grapes and even ones once thought extinct.
