Appearance

• Intense ruby red with bright highlights.

Nose

• Ripe red fruit aromas like strawberry, raspberry, blackberry and a touch of balsamic vinegar on the nose.

Taste

• The palate is balanced and well-rounded with plenty of red berries, cassis, sweet spices, cocoa and toffee.

A classic Rioja blend harvested from the best plots owned by Conde Valdemar. The grapes are fermented then aged in both American and French oak for 27 months before a few months of bottle aging.

Conde Valdemar

• Founded in 1889 in the Rioja township of Oyon. The Valdemar family have run this winery for over 130 years; throughout this time, they have been seen as ground breakers. One of their proudest endeavours is in the protection and revival of endangered grapes and even ones once thought extinct.
